The GAme

Kick-off

The match begins with one team having possession of the mootball, which initially appears blank, representing the core issue to be argued.

Data Upload

  • The team in possession starts building their argument and uploading data whilst passing the mootball strategically between teammates.

  • Each player contributes specific elements of the argument based on their expertise,

  • This include logical statements, statistical data, evidence etc.

Formation & Pattern recognition

  • As the mootball is passed, players coordinate movements and attempt to form and hold intricate patterns on the playing field.

  • Akin to formations in other field sports in Mootball these patterns represent the structure and coherence of the argument being constructed

  • Dependent on complexity and integrity each will affect the amount and speed of argumental data that gets transmitted.

EXAMPLES:

  • Triangle Formation : Players create a triangle formation which optimises data transmission between players. The accuracy and precision of the triangle shape impacts quality or quantity of data uploaded.

  • Square Formation: Provides greater stability and control during data transmission. The size of the square or tightness of its corners determines amount or complexity of data being uploaded.

  • Circle Formation: Allows for rapid data sharing and collaboration. The diameter or tightness of the circle influence the speed or volume of data uploaded.

  • Polygon Formation: a geometric shape with equal sides and angles. With 11 data points, an 11-sided polygon (hendecagon) can be formed. Such symmetrical patterns showcase mathematical precision and increase upload time.

  • Fibonacci Spiral Formation: The spiral generated by the Fibonacci sequence, offers a visually pleasing and mathematically significant pattern granting bonus transmission time

  • Fractal Formation: Various fractal patterns, such as the Sierpinski triangle or the Koch snowflake demonstrate high skill and creative coordination.

Opposition Challenge

  • Whilst the above is happening the opposing team attempt to intercept/ tackle or gain possession of the mootball and or disrupt the passing patterns, whilst contributing counter argumentation aiming to weaken the opponents argument

  • Teams that can efficiently execute these patterns and maintain them during gameplay would have advantage in data transmission and strategic decision-making. Equally teams that can successfully disrupt these patterns would gain advantage and possession of the Mootball

  • Implementing these set patterns would require players to demonstrate coordination, spatial awareness, and precise positioning.

  • Adds complexity and strategy as teams could devise tactics to disrupt their opponents' formations and disrupt data transmission.

Interactive Engagement

  • Live Streaming: Mootball matches are broadcasted online, allowing audiences worldwide to tune in and watch the action in real-time. Platforms and streaming services provide high-quality video feeds for an immersive viewing experience.

  • Multiple Camera Perspectives: Viewers have the option to switch between different camera angles, including player headsets, overhead views, and peerage screens showing pattern formations. This variety enhances the understanding and appreciation of the game.

  • Audience supporters and home viewers can actively participate by voting on various aspects of the match, such as the quality of arguments, the creativity of pattern formations, or the performance of individual players. These votes contribute to the overall evaluation and recognition process.

  • Commentaries and Analysis: Expert commentators provide insightful analysis, explaining the strategies, patterns, and arguments unfolding during the match. Their commentary enhances the understanding and enjoyment of the game for the audience.

  • Social Media Integration: Social media platforms serve as a hub for discussions and debates among the audience. Viewers can share their thoughts, opinions, and reactions, fostering a sense of community and interaction.

Goal Scoring

Uploading Elements of Argument:

  • When a passing pattern is successfully completed, the data uploaded during the process contributes to the overall strength of the argument.

  • The argument gains weight, symbolising progress toward scoring a goal.

    Delivering the Argument:

  • The team's objective is to deliver the completed argument into the opposing team's goal.

  • This represents the culmination of their intellectual effort and the completion of one specific section of argument

  • The game continues for ninety minutes, final whistle reveals totality of arguments scored for and against.

Evaluation

  • AI Analysis and Judgment: At the end of the match, an AI-driven system evaluates the weight and quality of each team's argument based on predefined criteria, including coherence, evidence, organization, rationale, counterargument consideration, and audience engagement.

  • Crowd Evaluation: The weight of the arguments presented by each team is not solely determined by AI analysis. Audience input is also considered, reflecting a democratic approach to evaluating the strength of arguments.

  • Supporting Evidence and Perspectives: Viewers contribute additional evidence or perspectives related to the argument being presented. Their contributions add depth and diversity to the overall evaluation process.

  • Expert and Data Analysts provide additional insights and perspectives for the final evaluation.

  • Final Score Calculation: The cumulative weight of the arguments presented by both teams determines the final score. The team with a higher score is declared the winner of the match.
